About St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School

Our School

At our school, we have approximately 230 children on roll. We have a 56 place EYFS which comprises of both Nursery and Reception aged children. The children in the Infant and Junior Departments are arranged in year groups, with two classes in the infants (Key Stage 1), and four classes in the Juniors (Key Stage 2).

The school therefore is relatively small, and it has a strong parish and family links, which go back to its opening in 1965. These factors combined with the school's commitment to Gospel values, contribute towards an ethos which is characterised by spirituality, friendship, forgiveness and care.

The school building is single-storey and purpose built, with self contained classrooms clustering around a central hall which is used for assemblies, P.E, performing arts and extra curricular activities. Our library is a bright and inviting place with lots of books for all ages and stages.

The school grounds are attractive and include: a playing field, tyre track, trim trail, Early Years playground and three hard surface playgrounds.  In the middle of our school building we also have a beautiful Peace Garden which our gardening club have worked really hard to develop into a colourful and welcoming place.

We are His eyes.

We inspire wonder, creativity and a love of learning; marveling in His mystery.

We are His hands.

We act in service and gratitude.

We are His feet.

We journey together, developing our individual gifts and celebrating our achievements, with Christ by our side.

We are His heart.

We selflessly give our love to others, our family of schools and our common home.

We are His body, living and learning as one.

Spiritual development is at the core of all we do at Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust. We aim to teach and foster the Gospel values of love of God and our neighbour, through our curriculum and our chaplaincy events. The trust has excellent support from the clergy in the local area and continues to develop close links with our parishes.
