Head Of School Welcome
Welcome to our school:
As the Head of School at St Charles' Voluntary Catholic Academy, it is with great pride that I welcome you to our school and to our website.
We are one of fifteen schools that are part of the respected St Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Academy Trust and part of the family of Hull Catholic schools and parishes.
Located at the heart of Hull city centre and serving our parish church of St Charles Borromeo, our school embodies a spirit of inclusivity, cultural diversity, and warmth. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we embrace our core values of love, learning and sharing in every part of our daily curriculum. Central to our ethos is our deep-rooted connection with the wider community, a bond exemplified through our work with our Parish Priest Canon Stephen and the local St Vincent de Paul Society.
Our commitment to reading and literacy, which is established from day one in the Early Years Foundation Stage, stands as a testament to our dedication to key life skills and a holistic education.
We prioritise the personal development of our students, providing an environment where every child will thrive. Through our links with national and local organisations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and NAPA and our visits symphony concerts at the Hull City Hall, we enrich and broaden the horizons of our students, giving them a lifelong passion for learning and building cultural capital.
We extend an open invitation to parents and carers to get involved in school life, whether through our Parent Group, attending Mass with us, engaging in curriculum showcase days, or witnessing first-hand the remarkable progress of our pupils.
