St. Andrew’s Primary School is a church school located in
the village of Laverstock, a semi-rural location on the outskirts of the
historic city of Salisbury. The school is in a beautiful setting with
attractive grounds which the children love to explore. Our children are aged
from 4-11 and they are taught in 7 single age classes.
We are proud to be an inclusive school that offers a warm
welcome and a caring ethos. Our Christian values of love, honesty and respect
weave throughout the school and support our high expectations for all pupils.
Each child is valued as an individual with unique potential, and we aim to
maximise achievements through our broad and ambitious curriculum.
Reading is at the heart of our curriculum; we are committed
to ensuring all of our pupils become fluent, confident readers with an
extensive vocabulary as we know that this will improve their chance of success
in later life. Our holistic approach to physical and mental health supports the
children to adopt a healthy lifestyle and keep themselves safe.
We aspire to develop creativity in our children by offering
a range of enrichment opportunities to develop cultural capital alongside their
talents and interests. Pupils also engage with opportunities to develop their
leadership skills and contribute to school life as members of the School
Council, School Nutrition Action Group, Digital Leaders and as members of the
Worship Team.
The Friends of St. Andrew’s (our PTA) are very supportive
and we enjoy strong partnerships with our local community.
