About St Alphege Church of England Infant and Nursery School

Our  school is a happy and thriving community, where children and adults work and flourish together in a culture underpinned by enthusiasm, encouragement and high expectations.
We work hard to achieve success and are fully committed to the development of every child in partnership with parents and families and our church community.
Education on the current Infant and Nursery school site dates from 1850 and we currently have 285 pupils across early years foundation stage and key stage 1. Since 1850, our school's intent has been focused on serving the workers and most vulnerable within our parish.
As such, our school is a learning community– everybody involved in the life of the school is an active learner, providing our children with the very best education possible, where everyone feels valued, safe and happy to learn. We believe in a rich and diverse education that offers a multitude of opportunities and experiences that instil in each person a lifelong love of learning.
