Welcome to St. Aidan's Church of England Primary School, Gateshead.
St Aidan’s Church of England School is a good school, which is known for its strong and inclusive Christian ethos. We are
driven by our desire to offer the best possible education for all our pupils in partnership with our parents, the church,
and the wider community.
We are proud to serve the local community and represent the wonderful families that attend our school. In the current
climate of change, we will continue to live out our mission and ensure that our children live,
‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10).
As a church school, we hold Christian values at the heart of everything we do. Our school is a caring Christian community
where each child is valued and nurtured as an individual. We encourage children to be respectful, forgiving, and
compassionate and we provide a nurturing, inclusive and safe community built on Christian Values that inspire positive
and trusting relationships between school, families, and the wider community.
We believe in a strong partnership between school and home and work closely with families and the local community in
all we do. Together we strive to ensure that all children achieve and develop into confident young individuals who have
high levels of well-being.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and have high expectations for all children. Socially and spiritually, we are very
proud of the way our children grow in confidence and independence in the safety and comfort of the school environment.
We do this by taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences and needs.
We are fortunate to have a team of highly dedicated staff and governors who work closely together to ensure that each of
our children leaves us at the end of Year 6 as a passionate and resilient learner, who is excited for the challenge that lies
ahead of them.
There is something truly special at St Aidan’s, a feeling and ethos that visitors consistently comment upon and something
that we work hard to uphold.
