About Southfield School
Southfield is a Primary School setting based in Hatfield, for over 100 pupils with Learning Difficulties, which include, Autism, Speech Language and Communication Needs, Global Developmental Delay, and other conditions.
Southfield is an oversubscribed school, with a large waiting list, because of the high aspirations, expertise, care and commitment that our staff have for our children.
We have no more than 14  children per class, and high ratios of support staff. Our classrooms are newly designed with sensory areas, outdoor space, and plenty of room and natural light, giving you a lovely working environment. 
Our staff receive regular free high quality training and upskilling as well as career pathways, treat days, unlimited tea and coffee, onsite parking, and a large comfy staffroom to relax and reset. 
One of our key benefits our staff receive is our private EAP - Employee Assistance Programme. This is funded directly by the School to offer support such as mental health, debt support and physical health support.
2026 sees the new addition of our Forest School, which has received a large amount of investment, and really does put Southfield in a different league to others.
Our recent parent/carer survey rated us 4.5/5 which is a testament to all of Team Southfield who go the extra mile each and everyday behind the scenes.
Southfield is going through a period of rapid and exciting change, that you could be part of. It is a journey of challenge, in the pursuit of excellence, but one that provides huge rewards both personally, in your professional development.
