Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College

About Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College

Ranked amongst the highest achieving sixth form colleges in the country and rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, the college is an exciting and inspirational place to work.

We offer a generous benefits package, combined with a unique sense of community, dedicated colleagues and high calibre students.

Teaching, mentors and business support roles

Teaching is at the very heart of the College and, as demonstrated by our impressive results, we are at the cutting edge of teaching and leaning approaches, which allow our students to thrive under the instruction of our dedicated and passionate teachers.

The College is supported by a number of specialist non-teaching roles, both curriculum facing mentors who deliver learning and pastoral support and expert business support professionals in departments such as finance, marketing and personnel.

Career Development

As an education establishment we understand the value of both career and professional development. We are committed to ensuring that when all colleagues join the College they take part in a tailored induction programme, which supports them throughout their first year and beyond with regular training,  meetings, guidance and development sessions.

Whilst at the College colleagues receive support to develop their skills, knowledge and experience including bespoke development opportunities, mentoring and coaching to allow them to progress their careers.

Modern Campus

Our £28 million campus  is a world-class learning environment which  elegantly combines state of the art modern facilities with historic building within which students and colleagues can thrive.

The campus includes onsite coffee shops, canteen with a deli bar, sports facilities, boat house for our rowing club. The curriculum benefits from a state of the art theatre, laboratories, modern classrooms, music studios, language laboratories and extensive study areas.

The College is located in a beautiful and historic part of Cheshire, within the sought after “Kingsmead Estate” which boasts quality housing with access to excellent primary and secondary schools. Northwich Town Centre is a short walk away and has recently been developed and modernised. The area benefits from excellent transport links to Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Warrington.

Equality Diversity & Inclusion

The College is an inclusive organisation where individuals are respected, valued and supported and everyone has an opportunity to fulfil their potential.

We are proud to say explicitly that we are an anti-racist College, which works as a community to embrace the diversity of both our students and our colleagues.
