About Shortstown Primary School
Shortstown Primary School is part of HEART Academies Trust; a family of academies, at the heart of the community, improving life chances for all through challenge and support.
The school opened in 2013 and boasts fantastic state-of-the-art facilities. Through the benefits of an excellent Pre-school provision, we are able to take children from the age of 2 through to 11 years.
Shortstown Primary is an inclusive school which has a positive impact on children's learning and achievement through high expectations in a creative and motivating environment. The school believes that every child truly does matter and as a result has an unrelenting focus on raising standards in all aspects of school life so that each student can develop their talents and be the best they can be.
As part of HEART Academies Trust, we recognise that teachers are the most important factor affecting pupil achievement and therefore staff well-being is high on our priority list. We invest heavily in staff development and work side by side with our teaching staff to ensure excellent teaching. We provide comprehensive training and development opportunities, including an exceptional ECT induction programme and personalised CPD pathways throughout your teaching career.
