Shoreham Village School

About Shoreham Village School

Welcome to Shoreham Village School.

Shoreham Village School is situated in the heart of the Darenth Valley in North West Kent. The school has played an important part within the life of Shoreham Village and the local community since 1841.

The school, graded Good by Ofsted in April 2019, offers a broad range of academic, sporting, musical and social opportunities to its pupils who are taught in mixed age classes by a team of dedicated, professional teaching and support staff.

We are very much a family with a caring ethos, strong ambitions for every one of our pupils and high standards of behaviour and achievement.

The school is located in the village of Shoreham which, by car is only ten minutes from Sevenoaks, ten minutes from the M25 and fifteen minutes from the M20. There is a station in the village, only a ten minute walk from school, and trains to Sevenoaks and London are frequent.

It is our belief that children thrive in an environment where they are praised, encouraged and cared for - this is what we endeavor to provide. It is our intention to ensure that every child strives to do their best and attain their highest standards at work and play.

At Shoreham Village School, we help all our children to succeed and feel good about themselves so that they can make a full contribution to society as skillful, happy and well balanced individuals.

Our aim at Shoreham Village School is to build a partnership between home and school which will enhance children’s educational development.  Such a partnership will enable them to take full advantage of all that our village school has to offer.

Ours is a happy school with high hopes and ambitions for all our children and we welcome the opportunity to work with parents to ensure that everything is done in the best interests of the children at all times.

As a small school, we take every opportunity to work, learn and play alongside other local schools.

If you are interested in finding out more about the School, please contact the school office to arrange a visit. we will be delighted to answer any questions you may have and to give you an opportunity to see the School.
