Welcome to Sandymoor Ormiston Academy! 

I am proud to be Principal; working alongside a very talented and committed body of staff and an ever-supportive community. We stand at the heart of our community and in the words of our students ‘We are a family’.

Our recent Ofsted inspection was a hugely positive experience which was full of highlights. Our aim now is to continue to strengthen our student outcomes through exceptionally high-quality teaching, superior staff support, and rich development opportunities; helping students to achieve their fullest potential.

We are relentless on our journey to becoming one of the best schools in the country for all pupils. Being a school blessed with smaller year groups we really do know our students inside-out and always put them at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. Being a Liverpool City Regions Careers Hub, we actively support our students to pursue the career of their choice; we instil in all of them that their dreams are within reach.

Our curriculum extends well beyond the classroom walls. We actively encourage all our students to develop their cultural learning through opportunities to travel, read, debate, participate in and achieve additional awards and qualifications. We are firmly dedicated to our values of Determination, Self-Belief, Pride and Resilience which emanate through our academy on a daily basis.
