WELCOME TO SANDRINGHAM SCHOOL
Sandringham is
a highly popular and oversubscribed school in St Albans, Hertfordshire. We are extremely proud
of our excellent reputation both locally and nationally.
We
believe that every child can prosper in life if challenged and inspired
appropriately. A strong academic curriculum supported by outstanding
personal development and extra-curricular provision, helps Sandringham students
develop as individuals with the necessary skills to be successful in adult life.
Our vision is
that 'Everybody can be Somebody' and is achieved through a rich curriculum and
balancing high expectations with a very caring and nurturing environment for
all. Our core values at Sandringham are Relationships, Responsibility
and Respect, and these help to shape everyone who attends or works at the
school.
Sandringham
is a positive and happy place to be. Students are incredibly
well-mannered, look after one another and enjoy being here. They love the
experience both in and out of the classroom and as a result, leave as
well-rounded individuals with the skills and abilities to take on the
World. Staff have sought to ensure that every young person feels valued
and listened to.
We are part of the BeauSandVer post-16 consortium and also lead several
national programmes including a National Teaching School Hub which is
responsible for delivering professional development for teachers, support staff
and leaders. The Alban Federation, also based on site, are training
teachers of the future as a designated Initial Teacher Training awarding body.
Staff well
being at Sandringham is a key priority and with an excellent working
environment we take every opportunity to develop the campus and are proud of
the resources and facilities available to all the young people and staff.
