Welcome to Saint Martin’s Catholic Academy. We were originally founded over 75 years ago by the Dominican Order. The rich tradition of high academic standards within a strong Christian ethos has continued through to the present. 

Our mission is for pupils to learn about 'the best that has been thought and said' (Matthew Arnold), to know that they are loved by God and that we aspire to live a virtuous life. 

Our aim is to provide children, from all abilities and backgrounds, with an ambitiously academic curriculum where all succeed through excellent teaching, uncompromising standards of behaviour and relentless care.

At Saint Martin’s we offer an academic Curriculum which pupils from all backgrounds and abilities can access, along with traditional teaching and an emphasis on impeccable behaviour and standards.

Our ambition is to enable all pupils to achieve academically and thrive in education. Alongside this high-quality academic curriculum, we place great emphasis on the Arts: music, drama, dance, design, art as well as a host of Sporting activities.

Of primary importance is our Christian foundation. We are a Catholic school and have a strong emphasis on the spiritual, moral and pastoral welfare of the young people in our care.
