On behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to Sacred Heart RC Primary School.

Sacred Heart School is situated on the edge of Colne and is within easy access of Foulridge, Barrowford and Blacko. We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and have extensive school grounds comprising of a large grass playing field, three playgrounds and two conservation areas. Our Foundation Stage children also enjoy a bright and stimulating enclosed playground of their own with a covered hard-play and grassed area.

Sacred Heart is a fantastic school and our latest Catholic Schools Inspection and examination results are testament to everyone's hard work and dedication. We are a very happy and welcoming school with a ‘family feel’ and strong sense of faith and community. Our aim is to provide the highest quality education for all in a caring, supportive, vibrant and inclusive learning environment. We offer an exciting curriculum where both staff and pupils work together to ensure that high quality teaching and learning opportunities allow all children to flourish and achieve their very best. 

We are very fortunate to have a large number of parents and other members of the community who regularly help in school, supporting a wide range of activities. Friends of Sacred Heart is an active set of parent fundraisers who have helped finance many facilities in school through a variety of popular events.

We are proud of the school’s many achievements, which have been the result of hard work by a very professional team of staff and an equally determined and enthusiastic group of children.
