About Roundhill Primary School

Roundhill Primary School
is set on the south west side of the city of Bath, and serves the local wards of
Southdown, Whiteway and Twerton. Roundhill Primary was formed in 2015, as a
result of the amalgamation of Southdown Infants and Southdown Juniors schools; since then we
have had major refurbishment of the buildings, and the school provides a
spacious, well-resourced learning environment. The school is set in extensive, attractive
grounds, which make a significant contribution to our curriculum and after
school provision. We have excellent nursery provision for two year olds and our
three year old provision is within our integrated Foundation Stage Unit.
In December 2018, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust. Being part of such a collaborative, supportive trust allows us many opportunities to share best practice, as well as important networking opportunities, with other schools.
Roundhill is a
welcoming, positive and happy school community. We are a growing, diverse and inclusive community
school, providing exciting, broad and creative learning opportunities for all
pupils. Our children are well behaved, happy and eager to learn from all
experiences. We have strong links with our local churches and community groups, who we work closely with in providing support for our families.
We are a committed,
friendly and supportive staff team aiming for excellence for all. We have an
experienced leadership team who support high quality professional development.
We are looking for applicants with a passion for educating the 'whole child', and a commitment to maintaining and developing very high standards in teaching and learning.
