Roebuck Academy

About Roebuck Academy

A very warm welcome to our school.

Roebuck Academy is an exciting, ambitious and happy place in which to work, develop and learn. We continually strive to develop a passion for learning at the school, which is driven by high-quality teaching and learning, a broad, balanced, and exciting curriculum and a genuine pursuit of excellence for all. We feel that we know and understand our children extremely well; their strengths, talents, skills, interests and areas for development. Because of this, we are able to deliver a personalised and relevant curriculum that enhances learning, and creates a genuine love of learning.

Children are valued as unique individuals at Roebuck Academy; each with their own talents and interests, which given the correct learning opportunities and environment, can ensure excellence.  We actively nurture self-belief so children feel they truly, 'can do', and can achieve anything with determination, perseverance and hard work.  We have the very highest expectations for every child at the school, and we are determined that every child leaves Roebuck Academy prepared for life.

We aim to ensure that all barriers to learning are removed so every pupil reaches their own full potential. This includes regularly looking at every child’s capacity to achieve more than the expected. We believe that every child matters here and that no time can be lost in education; every single day counts!

Our 'Good' Ofsted report and high academic standards are only part of the story. Through dynamic teaching methods and an inspirational ethos, our children inherit a love of learning; building high self-esteem and a strong determination to succeed. We provide many varied learning experiences, which enable our children to learn to make choices, solve problems, become independent and set their own high standards. By steering their natural curiosity, we inspire children to be confident, bold and resilient learners.

We can only achieve the very best outcomes for your child by working in partnership with parents.  We work tirelessly to ensure that there is always positive, on-going communication and support between home and school. This is to ensure that there is a continuity and consistency in the approach to school work, as well as work produced at home.  We work alongside parents as partners, and support them so that everyone can make a difference in their child's education.

We encourage parents to attend as many parental events and workshops on offer throughout the year.  We regularly listen and act upon the views and opinions of parents, and take a genuine interest in their own experiences and perspectives.

The dedicated leadership team, staff, children, parents and governors work together with mutual respect, to ensure that our school is always moving forward. We are united in our mission to make Roebuck a truly great school, and learn from each other as well as succeed together.

I highly recommend Roebuck Academy to you, and invite you to come and see for yourself what a fabulous school it is.
