About this Role

Part time, 22.5 hrs per week (Mon to Fri). Term-Time Only + 3 additional weeks.

Due to the growth of the Appropriate Body service, we now have a new permanent role for an Early Career Leader to join our team. Through this rewarding role you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the service, bringing your skills and expertise to support teachers to develop , you will have a significant impact on teacher retention and efficacy. The AB service we provide has grown year on year due to our excellent reputation and responsive nature and we work across a large geographical area in the north, as well as many schools in London.

Our Early Career Leads support teachers in the first three years of their careers. In this role, the ECL will work within the Teaching School Hub, working as part of the Appropriate Body to support Early Career Teachers and their schools throughout the two-year induction period.

We take a collaborative approach across all strands of our work, so while your main focus will be with the Appropriate Body, there will also be opportunities to contribute to other areas, such as delivering the Early Career Framework. This cross-team collaboration will support your continued professional development and broaden your experience.

About You

To be a good fit for this role, you will have the skills and ability to:

  • Model expectations and work adaptably to help further develop a process of quality induction assessment across all schools.
  • Ensure positive engagement with all Early Career Teachers (ECTs), Induction Tutors, Mentors, Headteachers and other stakeholders by providing and maintaining an excellent quality of service.
  • Support the Appropriate Body (AB) Director to implement the annual strategic development plan to achieve internal KPIs and those specified by the Department for Education (DfE) for AB services.
