Our approach to literacy begins with Read Write Inc., empowering all children to read fluently and confidently. Writing is taught through 'The Write Stuff', helping pupils develop bold vocabulary, expressive ideas, and a mastery of sentence structures. For Maths, we follow the 'White Rose' scheme, where small, flexible groupings allow every learner to build strong foundations and close any gaps. Using concrete, pictorial, and abstract methods, children make impressive progress while deepening their understanding.

Our curriculum is rooted in the Cornerstones Curriculum, a nationally recognised framework designed to ignite imagination and foster meaningful learning experiences. Delivered through Imaginative Learning Projects (ILPs) and Knowledge Rich Projects (KRPs), this pedagogy encourages creativity, problem-solving, and expressive communication. It’s mapped to the 2014 national curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage and clear progression across all subjects. We use a rigorous skills and knowledge framework to track progress and meet individual learning needs.

Our learning environment is truly magical. From the outdoor gym to our daily mile track, netball courts, and football pitches, children enjoy physical activity in varied ways. Our Early Years space bursts with adventure, vegetable patches nurture curiosity, and our very own forest brings nature into learning.
