This exciting new role is an opportunity to be an incredible advocate of young people and demonstrate a passion for actively working with students to support their transition from primary to secondary school and secure incredible outcomes. We welcome visits from potential candidates at any time.

  • Resilience to adapt and support in a range of circumstances so that all students achieve;
  • Ambition for your own development and learning;
  • Excellent knowledge and delivery of Key Stage 2 and early Key Stage 3 English and mathematics;
  • The ability to understand and work with data to monitor and intervene as appropriate with students and identify impact in your work.

We can offer you:

  • ·      Students who are kind, ambitious, resilient and respectful, working in and with well established systems;
  •        A motivated and supportive staff-body who prioritise students’ achievement;
  •        Regular celebration of achievement for both students and staff;
  •        A supportive environment which focuses on all members of our community achieving their best;
  •        Access to Health Care schemes through the Mercian Academy Trust;

Your key responsibilities will include:

  •         Complying with policies and procedures relating to teaching, learning and curriculum
  •         Working as part of a wider team to support transition of students from Key Stage 2 into Key Stage 3.
  •         Being an active presence in school to support teaching staff in ensuring students demonstrate our values and attitudes consistently and positively.
  •       Working with primary schools to secure outcomes at Key Stage 2, working to close early gaps in English and mathematics ahead of Key Stage 3, whilst supporting the removal of barriers to successful secondary transition.
