Penketh South Community Primary & Nursery School serves the urban area of Penketh, about two miles west of Warrington town centre.
It is a one form entry primary and nursery school which caters for pupils aged between 2 and 11 years.
Initially the current building accommodated junior pupils, with the infant students in the building next door. In the early 1980s, around 1985, the school all moved to the current site and the infant building became a care home. In January 2007, the school opened a Nursery within the school and this has been pivotal to the development of the school. As our nursery has grown, pupils have applied to join the school in Reception and have continued their learning, until they leave in Year 6.
In April 2018 school made the decision to become part of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT), after developing highly effective partnerships with the schools involved in this multi academy trust.
