Welcome 

We are the largest of Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust’s primary schools, serving the Okehampton community with a high-quality education. We welcome children from age 2-11 and within this ambitious setting, we enable our children to flourish together, with kindness, respect and resilience.

We work collaboratively as a whole school community, in partnership with parents, so our children can develop spiritually, socially, culturally as well as academically. We are committed to continuous school improvement which is ambitious, forward-thinking and delivers the very best possible outcomes for our children, families and staff.

Our ambitious curriculum is designed to challenge children’s thinking, developing knowledge and understanding which will serve them well in their learning journey to be members of a global society in the 21^st century. We encourage our children to be curious, questioning and receptive to other ways of thinking in order to make sense of the world in which they live and embrace our differences. The culture in our school promotes a sense of belonging that extends throughout our whole school community.

Okehampton Primary is a fully inclusive school with high expectations for all members of our school community. We are committed to a relational approach, providing an environment where everyone will feel safe and secure, emotionally, and physically.
