WELCOME TO OAKLEIGH SCHOOL AND THE ACORN ASSESSMENT CENTRE
A very warm welcome to Oakleigh School, where our motto 'Being the best we can be' reflects our unwavering commitment to each child's personal growth and success. We are a primary maintained special school in the Local Authority of Barnet for children which caters for pupils with a wide range of complex and profound learning difficulties. These include severe autism, complex medical conditions, physical and mobility difficulties, as well as severe developmental delay.
Our skilled and dedicated staff team work very hard to ensure learning is challenging, fun and engaging whilst ensuring that our pupils feel safe, valued and self-confident. We work effectively with our extended network of therapists, NHS colleagues, and other professionals to best support and meet the needs of our pupils.
We are proud of the strong partnerships we have built with families and the wider community, and we see these connections as key to creating the best possible learning experience. Together, we help our pupils grow in confidence and resilience, preparing them for the next phase in their lives whilst having the best opportunities to be happy and fulfilled.
