Welcome to Oakdale School – a primary special school in Tameside that works to the defining principles that underpin Kingfisher Learning Trust. Oakdale caters for autistic children with learning disabilities, children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and for those with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), including needs associated with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

 As part of Kingfisher Learning Trust, Oakdale School encompasses the Trust’s vision of ‘Endless Possibilities’, working creatively to find the best possible approaches in all aspects of its provision. We endeavour to create optimum learning environments that match the learning needs of all children, whilst offering an exciting, creative curriculum which allows them to learn in the best way possible.

We pride ourselves on being a place of learning for both pupils and staff and are constantly researching and updating the ways in which the children access their learning, ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child.
