Nova Hreod Academy is a secondary school in North Swindon for pupils aged 11–16.
At Nova, we believe that all children have limitless potential and can succeed when they are educated in an environment characterised by high standards of behaviour and excellent teaching.
We place learning at the heart of everything that we do. Our expert teachers deliver a rich and ambitious academic curriculum in a calm, purposeful atmosphere. Our pupils work exceptionally hard to develop a secure understanding of the subject disciplines we teach, acquiring knowledge and ways of thinking that take them beyond everyday experience and, in the long term, enable them to participate fully in society.
Beyond the classroom, our house system, student leadership opportunities and enrichment programme, ‘SuperNova’, ensure that pupils have a wide range of opportunities to develop their character and to discover and nurture new passions, skills and interests.
At Nova Hreod Academy, our staff team is supportive, welcoming and committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning. We foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement for our pupils, mirrored in the strong emphasis we place on high-quality professional development and ongoing support for staff.
Nova Hreod Academy, is located in north central Swindon, with excellent access to local amenities and transport links. The school is also close to a new sporting hub. Swindon is a thriving town that has seen significant regeneration, including upgrades to the train station, new housing, expanded retail opportunities and cultural attractions linked to its historic railway village.
