Our children have excellent attitudes to learning; they care for each other and enjoy coming to school. 

Our ambitious, creative curriculum is bespoke to our school and Trust and works by considering areas of study first in the context of our local area and before broadening children’s horizons to London and the UK, and then beyond our country to take in global issues. These inspiring and enriching experiences enable children to develop a sense of citizenship and place in the world, enabling them to achieve their aspirations and have a positive impact on the world around them.  

At Northumberland Heath, we develop the ‘whole child’, nurturing children’s social, emotional and academic development both within the classroom and beyond. Our values of creativity, collaboration, respect, pride and independence prepare and equip children with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to be able to make informed choices about the important things in their lives. We expect the very best from our children, staff and wider community, living and breathing these values in everything we do. 

We value the strengths each child has and work together to address their needs individually through equity and inclusivity so children are able to thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning in order that they succeed both now and in the future.  

We are proud to be part of the Woodland Academy Trust and work closely with the other schools in the Trust, engaging with research and development to provide an excellent teaching and learning experience for all.
