Newquay Primary Academy  opened in 2021 and we are thrilled to move into our brand new building in 2025.

Our philosophy is that stimulated children will thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning. It is for this reason that we base our teaching around providing a ‘proper’ childhood, where learning takes place both in and outside the classroom. We want children to feel part of Cornwall’s outstanding natural environment and proud heritage and culture. This is why education at Newquay Primary Academy is brimming with exciting activities and outings designed to enhance every child’s learning experience and sense of place.

In addition to its academic focus, Newquay Primary places great importance on the wellbeing of its pupils. The school offers a range of support services, including pastoral care, to promote positive mental health and emotional wellbeing. 

The academy's pupils are proud ambassadors for our school and our values. Our pupils are given a strong moral compass. They are taught to understand the importance of community cohesion and making a positive contribution to our unique community. The school is well-regarded for its strong sense of community, with active involvement from parents, carers and local organisations.

Ofsted’s judgement of outstanding in 2024 reflects the school’s dedication to providing a high-quality, well-rounded education that supports both the academic and emotional growth of its pupils.
