Netherton (CE) Primary School is a two-form entry school, where
each child is valued and respected. We also have Time for Twos and a Nursery
which offers both part-time and full-time provision for children aged 3 and up.
We also offer a term time Breakfast Club and are currently exploring after
school provision. We are part of the Diocese of Worcester Multi
Academy Trust (DoWMAT).
As a Church of England school our ethos is distinctively Christian. Our aim is to provide a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment where each child is encouraged to become a self-confident, self-disciplined and motivated learner.’
'The broadly Christian vision of inclusivity and aspiration is lived out passionately by all. It strongly reflects the local school context and the community it serves. …. leaders are committed to moving forward, along with the whole school community to embed their vision with Christian beliefs and narrative at its core. The vision is supported by seven core values which are confidently articulated and actively lived out in the pupils’ lives both at school and beyond. Mutual respect and excellent behaviour emanate from such values as respect, acceptance and forgiveness. Harmonious relationships are a result of a very strong culture of embracing, respecting and understanding difference and diversity. This allows all to live well together.’ SIAMs 2019
Governors, teachers, support staff, parents and friends work
together to ensure that the wellbeing of our children is at the heart of all
that we do. We ensure that the lively, stimulating and caring environment
within our school enables our children to make progress to achieve their very
best academically and to develop as balanced, well-adjusted, thoughtful and
polite young people with a lifelong interest in learning. Everyone here at Netherton
is very proud of our pupils. Not just in terms of academic achievement but in
their development as young people.
Visitors to the school often comment on how friendly our school
is and how happy our children are. We strive to create a nurturing environment
where children feel safe and are able to flourish. We place a great emphasis on
our school values and the development of the whole child. This all helps us to
create an ethos where each pupil is valued, has an opportunity to contribute to
our community and is supported to do their best. Above all, we place our
children’s wellbeing at the heart of what we do so that they flourish in our
care.
