Morchard Bishop Church of England Primary School strives to provide the best start for all of our pupils. Our vision of being ‘Deeply rooted. Individually nurtured. Inspired to flourish.’ ensures that we focus on developing children that are driven to become the very best version of themselves.

We are incredibly fortunate to have outstanding school grounds and aim to utilise these as often as possible to deliver a range of experiences for the children. A large field, kitchen garden, roundhouse and multi-use games area are just a few of the spaces that provide opportunities for learning outside of the classroom.

Being deeply rooted within our local community is an integral part of the school and we have many links with the village, which is beautifully situated in Mid Devon half way between Dartmoor and Exmoor. Children are encouraged to participate in local events and have opportunities to develop their own passions and interests both within the school and the wider life of the village. We also have a strong link with St Mary’s Church and regularly spend time in the church and with our local vicar Rev. Robert Gordon.

The school joined  The Link Academy Trust in October 2021 which has allowed us to work collaboratively with similar schools across Devon.
