On behalf of the staff, pupils and local community, I'd like to wish you a warm welcome to Mexborough St John’s. We are a vibrant, happy and caring church school where the children are at the heart of all we do.

At Mexborough St John the Baptist we value all of God’s children, creating an inclusive environment that helps all to flourish socially, emotionally, morally, spiritually and academically. Our aim is for our children to be effective learners and responsible citizens who are confident, caring, resilient and inquisitive. We want all of our pupils to achieve the best they can, in all that they do.

​As a school, we believe that daily high-quality teaching is integral to children’s love of learning. Ensuring that children are engaged and stimulated in their learning is vital to promote effective progress but also to raise aspirations and enhance life experiences. All staff aim to give your child the best education possible, to encourage them to 'dream big' and strive to be the 'best they can be'.
