Mevagissey Primary School is a mixed-form entry school, located on the outskirts of the picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall.
We are absolutely committed to doing the very best for our pupils. We provide a caring, secure and intellectually-stimulating environment, which ensures that pupils feel valued and excited to learn. Through challenge, support and encouragement, we develop within our pupils the qualities of curiosity, creativity, resilience and self-confidence.
Collaboration is the key to our success. Parents, staff and governors work together so that all children develop to their full potential. Above all, we want pupils to take pride in everything they achieve, to grow and to learn with confidence.
Mevagissey Primary School offers a broad, balanced and unique curriculum, utilising our fantastic surroundings. Beach school, Mevagissey Feast Week and museum project are just a few examples of what makes our school and community so special.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2023 described the school as a happy and successful school where pupils and staff work together effectively. Leaders and staff work as a united and dedicated team. Morale is high because staff receive the right support and feel valued. Staff say that leaders are mindful of their workload and well-being.
