About Margaretting Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School

Welcome to Margaretting C of E Primary School. As a small rural primary school, it allows us to know every child and family very well. We believe these close relationships help us to support all the children to succeed and have enriching life experiences at every stage of their education.

We are part of the LIFE Education Trust and work collaboratively with schools in Havering and Essex.

Margaretting Primary is ranked 1st place for average reading score in Essex and 5th place in the entire country in the latest league tables and has an Ofsted Good rating. 

"Pupils embrace the ethos of courageous optimism, boundless creativity and heartfelt compassion at this small, village school. Pupils respond well to teachers’ high expectations of sensible behaviour and hard work. They show resilience and curiosity in their learning.  In the early years children learn to listen carefully and share their ideas. Older pupils contribute with enthusiasm and settle quickly to tasks in lessons."  Ofsted
