Our Values

Manor Croft Academy is truly an exciting place to learn; a place where we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and thriving as a close-knit community. We are a member of Delta Academies Trust and serve the community of Dewsbury and surrounding area. It is essential that every student that comes to our Academy fulfils their true potential and leaves with the opportunity to achieve whatever it is they wish to accomplish. 

Our aim is for all our students to learn in a positive, safe and supportive environment where academic achievement is celebrated and effort and attitude to learning is rewarded. Our journey of improvement continues: It was acknowledged by OFSTED in October 2022, which deemed Manor Croft a ‘Good’ school in every area, with ‘Outstanding’ Leadership. This can be seen through the Academy’s GCSE results.  

The class of 2024 left our Academy with fantastic results. We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, with academic, vocational and technical subjects offered to all our students and we deliver a rich and varied personal development curriculum. We provide a wide range of enrichment activities in order to unearth a variety of strengths and talent, which we strongly encourage students to take part in. We also take learning beyond the classroom with events and educational visits running throughout the year. These memorable experiences enrich the students and give them a broader learning and insight into the subject they study. 

We believe in rewarding students for both good behaviour and excellent attendance, as well as outstanding effort and academic achievement. A number of celebration events will take place over the course of the year as we understand that our students are most successful when they are happy, valued, challenged, and most importantly when they believe in themselves! We have a team of dedicated and talented teachers and support staff who are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for each and every student.
