Head Teacher
Lindley Junior School is a junior school set in the heart of Lindley in Huddersfield. We have approximately 495 children on roll, ranging from year 3 to year 6.
We are a friendly, caring school with high expectations for all our pupils. Our children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities. We strive to make strong links with parents and the local community, believing that this helps our pupils to learn best. Staff provide a rich and stimulating curriculum, with opportunities to learn both inside and outside the classroom. Our vibrant curriculum is enriched by visitors, educational outings and extra-curricular activities.
Our pupils are happy, respectful and well-behaved, and have good relationships with our school staff.
'Pupils enjoy attending Lindley Junior School. They form strong relationships with each other and staff. They care about the views of others and respect and value each other’s opinions and differences. Their manners and behaviour are impeccable.' (OFSTED, 2023)
"Our daughter absolutely loves this school and we could not be luckier that she is able to attend. All your staff members are kind, clever and nurturing and the school's investment in the wider curriculum - especially in music - is beyond compare, especially in junior school education." (Parental survey, May 2019)
Lindley Junior School is part of Heritage Multi-Academy Trust.
Our Trust was established in 2025 and serves 6 schools: Lindley Junior School, Moorlands Primary School, Reinwood Infant and Nursery School, Reinwood Junior School, Salendine Nook High School and Spring Grove Junior Infant and Nursery School. The schools have all worked closely together for many years and have a very strong inclusive working ethos. We serve a diverse, multi-cultural community. Our parents are hugely supportive and really do make all the difference in helping us to educate our young people. The Trust provides overall strategic leadership, governance, and financial oversight for all its schools, while each individual school retains its own distinct identity within the community.
