About Lillington Primary School
I am so pleased to have gained my first headship with Finham Park Multi Academy Trust – the vision that every child has ‘the time of their lives’ is in line with my vision for all children, especially those at Lillington Primary. Early Years, Reading and Personal/Physical health and education are areas of the curriculum I am passionate about and I look forward to embedding the very best curriculum for the children of Lillington – one that both supports their academic success and sets them up with the skills needed for life. Lillington Primary is a special place and at the centre of a wonderful community; over the coming weeks, months, terms and years I look forward to getting to know the families and wider community, working together to foster a lifelong love of learning for the community of Lillington.
I feel so privileged to have the role as Headteacher at Lillington Primary School. My career began in Birmingham after I trained as an Early Years specialist; I then continued to work in inner city Birmingham before moving to Coventry. I worked as a teacher in Early Years for many years before embarking on my leadership journey, I have since taught across all key stages and held positions as Assistant Headteacher, SENDCO and more recently as Deputy Headteacher at Park Hill Primary School in Coventry. Ahead of gaining my first headship I worked for Finham Park MAT education development team as Director of Primary Education; it was wonderful to have a role where I could spend time in multiple schools with varying contexts, having an impact on teaching and learning.
I encourage you to come and speak to me in the morning on the gate, at the end of the school day, or arrange a suitable time to meet – I aim to have an ‘open door’ policy – all members of the school community are welcome and feel supported.
