Leigh Beck Junior School

Leigh Beck Junior School is a three-form entry junior school in the heart of the Canvey Island community. We are a large, vibrant junior school with an explicit emphasis on developing the whole child as a person and as a learner.

Leigh Beck Junior provides children with a 'safe and special place to be'.  Our pupils embody the school’s values, the ‘Leigh Beck Five Ways’, in all that they do; they are kind and have respect for each other, they appreciate that everyone is different, and that people have their own views that they can express. 

Our dedicated staff team are committed to ensuring children have a wide array of learning experiences and that we equip your children with the knowledge, skills and values that will enable them to progress in life becoming confident and responsible local, national and global citizens, ready for the next stage of their learning and for their life.  We are lucky to have a large site, including two playgrounds, outside areas and two grass fields enabling a range of learning experiences to take place and are equipped with a range of resources to support learning.

• involve parents and carers in their children’s education.
