Are you passionate about the outdoors, working with young people, and making a difference?
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Volunteers to join our expedition support team across Ridgewood School and Campsmount Academy, part of Leger Education Trust.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people grow in confidence, resilience, and independence while completing their DofE Awards. Volunteers support walking expeditions, help with campcraft, supervise students, and ensure the experience is safe, inclusive, and fun.
What You'll Do:
Assist staff with the delivery of Bronze, Silver, or Gold expeditions
Supervise groups of young people during walks and at campsites
Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork and wellbeing
Help with equipment, navigation, and campsite setup
Report any concerns and follow safeguarding procedures
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine interest in working with young people
Reliable, supportive, and a good communicator
Comfortable outdoors in varied conditions
Able to follow instructions and uphold Trust values
Previous DofE, youth work or outdoor experience (desirable but not essential)
