Laughton All Saints' Church of England Primary School is situated in a picturesque, rural setting in the heart of an old hamlet village, on the edge of the countryside. We are incredibly proud of our very special school and the community village and a family feel that it still retains.
We are a Church of England Primary school and a member of the Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust (DSAT).
At present, there are 119 children on roll; the small school size ensure that every child feels valued and nurtured whilst completing their exciting and varied learning journey. There are between 30-32 children in each class. The school building dates back to 1612, the oldest school in South Yorkshire! Although, over the years, the school has undergone significant expansion, refurbishment and cosmetic enhancements, ensuring our internal learning environments are as magnificent as our outdoor spaces.
At Laughton All Saints', we constantly aim to be an exceptional school with Christian values at the very heart of the community. We are committed to providing a caring environment where every child can thrive & is supported to achieve their unique & amazing potential as a child of God.
We work hard to ensure that we have excellent values & ethos & that our relationships & behaviour are outstanding. We are fully committed to raising achievement & attainment to the highest possible levels as well as ensuring that learning & teaching are of a consistently high standard. We take pride in developing outstanding teaching and learning by holding the highest expectations of all our pupils and knowing the children well as individuals.
Our students are given time to explore subjects and develop deep understanding. We celebrate perseverance; resilience and risk-taking, ensuring children welcome a challenge and are not frightened to make mistakes. We encourage children to take ownership of and responsibility for their learning, so they have the confidence and curiosity to ask questions, solve problems and respond to quality feedback.
Working together with parents as partners in their children's learning is vital if we are to achieve optimum learning for each child in a happy atmosphere. Every decision within the school is made by firstly considering what is in the best interest of the children. The children lie at the heart of everything we do.
