Lady Seaward's Church of England Primary School

About Lady Seaward's Church of England Primary School

Lady Seaward's is a small primary school and nursery with a big heart based in the idyllic, rural village of Clyst St George on the edge of Exeter.

Our vision is to establish a community where everyone experiences 'Learning and Life in all its Fullness'. This vision is lived and breathed through our school values: 'Compassion, Aspiration and Resilience', which are central to all that we do and inform all aspects of school life.

We value each and every child as unique individuals who we support to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. We seek to create 'world-ready citizens' with habits and attitudes that will enable our pupils to face challenges calmly, confidently, creatively and collaboratively. We aspire to cultivate our students' resilience, resourcefulness and reflectiveness so they can understand ideas more deely, achieve more and find learning more enjoyable.

Another key aspect of our school is our social, moral, spiritual and emotional curriculum. It weaves through all that we do as we feel passionately about nurturing and growing the whole child. All our staff are committed to developing the character of our children within a caring and safe environment, where compassion for others (both locally and globally) is at the heart.

We hold the highest expectations of our young learners, both academically and socially and strive to ensure that they receive the best education by being research informed and reflective, whilst preparing children to be successful contributors to society.

Lady Seaward's Primary is part of First Federation Trust, a multi-academy of 29 primary schools across Plymouth, Devon and West Dorset.
