King’s College Hospital School is a specialist provision within The Goldfinch Trust, supporting children and young people receiving medical care at King’s College Hospital. The school operates across several hospital wards and supports a diverse pupil population from across London and beyond.

Education at King’s is not limited by setting. Whether working at a child’s bedside or in a small classroom space, our aim is the same: to ensure continuity of learning, promote curiosity and provide moments of calm structure within the hospital day. Our teachers are qualified, experienced and deeply empathetic. They adapt lessons in response to pupil energy levels, emotional state and medical context.

We work in partnership with hospital staff, families and home schools to ensure that pupils remain connected to their education and supported for the future. We help to bridge gaps, provide challenge, and maintain a sense of normalcy. Whether pupils are with us for a few days or longer, they are given a high-quality learning experience that reflects their ability, respects their context and encourages pride in their achievements.
