Welcome to King’s Academy Meadow Vale.

King’s Academy Meadow Vale is a large, three-form entry primary school in Bracknell, with our own on-site nursery provision. We are proud to be a vibrant, inclusive, and ambitious school at the heart of our community.

Our school enjoys an excellent reputation locally, built on the dedication and professionalism of our staff team. Every colleague at Meadow Vale is committed to ensuring that each child is supported and challenged to fulfil their potential. We deliver a stimulating, challenging, and relevant curriculum that not only secures strong academic outcomes, but also nurtures curiosity, resilience, creativity and character.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils and of the positive culture we have created together. High expectations underpin everything we do - from behaviour and attitudes to learning and personal development. We believe that when expectations are clear and support is strong, children flourish. Our classrooms are purposeful and calm, relationships are built on mutual respect and every child is known and valued as an individual.

Partnership with parents and carers is central to our success. We recognise the significant contribution families make to their children’s education and work hard to maintain open, constructive and supportive relationships. By working together, we create the consistency and encouragement children need to thrive both academically and personally.

Our extensive school grounds and outstanding facilities further enhance the educational experience we offer. With a large adventure playground, expansive grassed areas, and a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, we ensure that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Sport, enrichment, leadership opportunities and creative experiences all play a vital role in shaping confident, well-rounded young people.

About Our Academy

King’s Academy Meadow Vale is a primary academy serving children from Nursery through to Year 6. With our own on-site nursery provision, we are able to support children from the very start of their educational journey, establishing strong foundations in communication, early reading, and numbers that prepare them for long-term success.

In our most recent inspection, Ofsted confirmed that Meadow Vale Primary School continues to be a good school. Inspectors highlighted that pupils are valued, well cared for, and known as individuals by staff. Pupils enjoy school, feel safe and respond positively to the high expectations for behaviour and learning.

Ofsted noted that teaching is effective, lessons are engaging, and pupils achieve well across the curriculum. Senior leaders have prioritised English and mathematics, reading is a particular strength and pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. Pupils have a wide range of opportunities to take responsibility, participate in extracurricular activities and develop both academically and personally.

Staff were described as passionate and committed and safeguarding was judged to be effective, with all staff taking pupils’ welfare and safety seriously.

What Makes Us Unique

Our Nursery Provision

King’s Academy Meadow Vale offers its own on-site nursery, providing continuity for children’s early education from the very start of their learning journey through to Year 6. This ensures children build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and social development in a familiar and supportive environment.

International Dimension

At King’s Academy Meadow Vale, we offer pupils a globally minded curriculum that broadens horizons, encourages curiosity and fosters cultural understanding. This reflects the vision of King’s Group Academies to develop learners who are not only confident in their local community but also prepared for opportunity and success on a global stage.

Pupils engage in initiatives such as acting as International Ambassadors, International Week, themed curriculum projects and a focus on languages, as well as our partnership and fundraising support for a school in Rwanda, we raised money for the school as well as writing letters to the children. These experiences help children develop leadership skills, cross-cultural awareness and a strong sense of global citizenship.

By embedding international perspectives across learning, we aim to inspire pupils’ ambitions, enrich their experiences, and equip them to thrive and make a positive impact in an interconnected world.

About Our Community

King’s Academy Meadow Vale is deeply rooted in the local Bracknell community, serving a diverse and vibrant population. Our pupils come from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds, and we are committed to ensuring every child feels supported, valued and able to achieve their potential. Families are engaged and active partners in their children’s education, helping to strengthen the school community.

The academy works closely with local organisations to support families and enrich pupil experiences. We have a strong partnership with the King’s Academy Meadow Vale PTA, which organises events and fundraising activities that directly benefit our pupils. Our on-site nursery provision and the Beehive After School Club provide wrap-around care and early years education supporting families across the local area. Pupils also participate in wider community initiatives, such as the Bracknell Forest primary schools’ climate conference, fostering collaboration and learning beyond the classroom.
