I am delighted to be Headteacher and feel very privileged to be able to share with you an overview of the wonderful learning experiences we offer throughout our school and nursery.

Kaye’s is a friendly village school in Clayton West which is situated on the West/South Yorkshire border with the towns of Huddersfield, Barnsley and the city of Wakefield within easy access.  A former mining village with textile mills and a railway, Clayton West is steeped in history.

At Kaye’s, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed with our children at its heart. We actively involve them in shaping their learning, drawing on their interests, experiences, and individual needs to create meaningful and engaging opportunities. As an enthusiastic and dedicated staff team, we are proud of the way our children contribute to their learning journey, show a genuine love for school, behave responsibly, and consistently demonstrate respect, empathy, and tolerance for others.

We encourage all children to be aspirational. Working in partnership with parents and governors, we strive to ensure that children are provided with every opportunity to be the very best they can be – happy, confident learners who leave Kaye’s equipped with the tools needed to be successful individuals.
