About John Ray Junior School
John Ray Junior School is a four-form entry junior school in Braintree, Essex, catering for children from 7-11. We also work in close partnership with our neighbouring infant school as well as other local primary schools.
Our school is a calm and purposeful environment where each child is valued and feels part of the school community. We work hard to promote the social, moral and cultural development of children so they develop positive relationships with staff and each other to help them to build confidence, independence and resilience. Our core values of respect, trust, responsibility, courage, perseverance and hope are well known by everyone in our school community and children use these values in all aspects of school life.
We are part of the Compass Partnership of Schools, a charitable trust of 11 schools that work as one to achieve the very best for all children and all communities.
