About Horninglow Primary School
Horninglow Primary is a friendly and open-hearted school, which caters for children from 3 to 11 years of age. We pride ourselves in the relationships that we develop with our children and their families, as well as the nurturing ethos we provide. We believe in developing the whole child prioritising their happiness, safety and well-being. Our children are encouraged to share their worries with our caring staff.
As a school, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which is driven by the core principles of Community, Curiosity, Connectivity, Compassion, Confidence and Creativity. In addition to this, we ensure that we enhance the curriculum through opportunities such as trips, visiting speakers and various experiences. We endeavour that our children develop a love of learning and are ready for their next stage of their education.
We have high expectations for our children and we aim for them to achieve to the best of their ability. We are not only ambitious for our children, but we are inclusive and ensure that all of our children, including those with a special educational need, receive the support they need to thrive. Our school also has high expectations for behaviour. Children understand what is expected of them and behaviour in the classrooms is positive. Through our school rules and daily routines, we promote the Trust values of Work hard, Be kind, Choose wisely.
We are proud of our diverse school community, where we celebrate all of our children ensuring that they have a sense of belonging and a mutual respect for one another.
