Join Our Local Governing Body – Become a School Governor at Honeybourne Primary School

Are you passionate about education and the local community? Do you want to make a real impact on the lives of children? We are looking for committed, community-minded individuals to join our school’s Local Governing Body (LGB).

About the Role
This is a voluntary position offering a rewarding opportunity to help ensure high standards in education for all children at Honeybourne Primary School. As a governor, you will work collaboratively to support the school’s strategic direction, ensuring effective leadership and accountability. Our Local Governing Body meets five times throughout the academic year to fulfil core governance responsibilities, including:

Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction.

Holding school leaders accountable for academic performance, attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding procedures.

Overseeing stakeholder engagement within the school and wider community.

About Honeybourne Primary School and Black Pear Trust
