Heswall Primary is a popular, successful and thriving school close to the centre of Heswall and bordering on the beautiful Barnston fields.  We provide a unique and exciting place to learn and offer a warm, nurturing and friendly provision which is fully inclusive to serve the local community.  We know that happy children will achieve amazing things and this is central to our ethos.  Our school became an 'Outstandingly Happy School' in 2019.

 

Heswall Primary is blessed with wonderful grounds including a huge field with amazing woodland areas - we are surrounded by trees and plants.  We ensure our children consistently use the grounds and we have been an 'Eco-Ambassador School' - training other schools and student teachers in Outdoor Education. 

High quality teaching and learning has consistently delivered high levels of achievement and attainment, our excellent Sat's results over many years reflect this.  Our SEND record is very good and, with the appropriate support, children with special educational needs make very good progress.

 

Children will know the purpose of all that they learn as we continually create and develop a curriculum that not only promotes high standards and challenges children's thinking, but a curriculum that also excites and motivates children, staff and parents.  We are striving to develop children's knowledge and skills across all areas of the curriculum so that we nurture and grow well-rounded children who will be our future writers, scientists and mathematicians.
