At Hazel Slade Primary Academy the children are offered an exciting, fun and creative curriculum with emphasis placed on the fundamental basic skills of learning. In addition to gaining language, mathematical and scientific skills, children will also be encouraged to build confidence, develop self-reliance, learn to make decisions and develop the ability to articulate feelings and ideas. Outdoor learning is a key feature of our school and we have access to a wonderful outdoor environment. The Early Years pupils take part in Forest School sessions weekly. We believe it is important to develop children’s social skills, self-discipline and show respect for all other people and for their surroundings.
