Welcome to Harpfield Primary Academy. We are a single form entry primary school from Nursery to Year 6. Our children come to us from Hartshill and surrounding areas. We are a small and welcoming academy who is part of the Creative Education Trust (CET).
At Harpfield Primary Academy, we strive to support and nurture learners who have a rich curiosity for their learning and of the world. We aim to provide all our children with essential life skills and develop their confidence to enable them to believe in themselves. We want each Harpfield child to be ambitious, successful and most importantly; happy. Children should leave us being well-equipped for high school and beyond and confident enough to handle the challenges of the wider world; academically and socially. We aim to develop skills within our children to encourage them to be expressive of their opinions and have the self-belief to drive their views and passions in a way in which makes their lives and those of others better. Our broad and balanced curriculum ensures that learning at Harpfield celebrates and develops children’s individual skills and talents and provides each and every child an opportunity to blossom in our care. We believe in providing the best possible start to education for all of our children, irrespective of when they join us or their starting points.
As a smaller academy we have the privilege of being able to form fantastic relationships with staff and children. We have a team of staff who are always willing to help each other and put children at the heart of all that we do. Our children are vibrant, diverse and we encourage their individuality. We take pride in the fact that we have as much to learn from our children as they do from us and that learning is a collaborative process. It is important to us as an academy to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. In this way, we provide our children with a wealth of experiences to find out where their strengths and interests lie.
We work closely with our parents through our dedicated home-school link worker and ensure that we are prompt in meeting the wider needs of families. Our children and families enjoy being a part of the community and are supportive. We use our School Council and pupil voice regularly to ensure that the children are central to the running of the school. Their voice is evident in many aspects of school life, including the curriculum.
