About Hagbourne Church of England Primary School

Hagbourne C of E Primary School prides itself on providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment with exciting learning opportunities. We have a distinct family feel and a strong community spirit. We aim to develop a 'toolkit' of strategies and knowledge for each child to prepare them for life's challenges, experiences and opportunities. We encourage them to overcome difficulties and see mistakes as a vital part of learning. We believe education is about the whole child: this includes their academic, social and emotional skills.

We have close links with the local church of 'St Andrew's' and our values, derived from the story of The Good Samaritan, underpin everything we do: Care, Courage, Respect and Responsibility create a calm and caring environment where we encourage the children to 'be the best that they can be'.


Our staff feel privileged to work within the Hagbourne school community. We are committed to continuous improvement and are working towards an evidence formed approach to teaching and learning to help us identify what works best in the classroom.
