About Hadrian Academy
Hadrian
Academy is a popular primary school situated in North East Dunstable. The
school currently has 387 pupils, catering for children from 4 – 11. There are 14 classes including two reception
classes for children who are 4+ and school opening times are 8.50am – 3.15 pm.
We have an excellent Before & After School Care Club as well that it is
managed by the school and there is an array of extra-curricular clubs
reflecting the school’s Vision and Values. The
governors and staff work together as a team to provide a high standard of
education for each child and encourage the achievement of high standards
in work, great behaviour and enjoyment in all aspects of school life. OFSTED judged Hadrian Academy as a ‘good’ school
in the most recent visit of September 2023, as well as the previous visits in January 2018 and in March
2014. High
standards are expected in all areas of the curriculum and strengthened through
being a Gold SingUp School and Gold ArtsAward Mark School. We have a Healthy School award, with sport
and active activity promoted. We also
actively promote participation in LAMDA examinations with all children passing
and some achieving distinctions. Our
philosophy is to create and promote a happy, lively, caring community in an
attractive and stimulating environment where each individual can develop their
knowledge, skills, experience and understanding of the world.
