Welcome to Grovelands Community Primary School. We are a large primary school located in the market town of Hailsham, East Sussex. The school has been a key part of the community since 1936 and moved to its current location in 1996. Our inclusive school serves a diverse community, made up of a committed staff team, supportive parents and carers and wonderful children.
We have a strong commitment to meeting the needs of our community by establishing effective relationships, ensuring the individual needs of all pupils are met, a focus on pupil’s wellbeing and delivering a broad, rich, contextually appropriate curriculum. Our ambition is to instil a love of learning and help shape each child’s journey through education to achieve their individual aspirations.
Our bespoke curriculum ensures that children are engaged and enthused with their learning; we are fortunate to be able to enrich this by employing specialist teachers for physical education, dance, computing and music. Our school site has also been developed to ensure that our children have opportunities to learn outdoors on a school farm and our forest school. Our location in East Sussex means we are spoilt with local historical sites to visit and the beautiful South Downs.
