Great Missenden C of E Combined School is proud to be part of the Great Learners Trust. The Great Learners Trust (GLT) was established in 2014 in Buckinghamshire with the aim of promoting exceptional learning. We are now a dynamic group of 9 primary schools, working generously in collaboration to provide the best possible education for our children. Trust schools are diverse and unique; this individuality is underpinned by common principles, a shared ambition and a commitment to working closely together. Belonging to the Trust enables schools to focus on the essential work of delivering excellent teaching and learning. The Trust provides high quality school improvement expertise and frameworks for school leaders and governors, including strategic planning, financial and estates management, operations, recruitment and policy development.

At our school, in the centre of Great Missenden, we put children at the heart of all that we do. You will find a stable, caring, happy, hardworking, optimistic and mutually supportive staff. We have a welcoming family atmosphere with pupils who are happy and are proud to be at our school. We have an ‘open door’ policy and welcome engagement with our families. We have an active Junior Leadership Team with representatives from every class, creating opportunities for children to take responsibility and show leadership. Our Parent Reps meet regularly with the Headteacher and members of the Senior Leadership Team to provide valuable feedback on school policies and practice. We also benefit from an active and generous PTA who organize a calendar of social events, raising thousands of pounds a year for the school.
